About this Organization

Animal Protection League is a nonprofit organization that was created in 1996 to offer quality low-cost preventative care services such as spay/neuter, vaccinations, parasite testing and prevention throughout East Texas. APL has three offices, as well as three mobile surgical units which allows us to operate 3-4 locations daily bringing our reach to a total of 30 East Texas cities. Listed below are our spay/neuter statistics given the calendar year - 2011 - 4,736 pets 2012 - 8,265 pets 2013 - 8,006 pets 2014 - 8,223 pets 2015 - 8,753 pets 2016 - 10,217 pets 2017 - 12,211 pets 2018 - 14,028 pets 2019 - 15,997 pets 2020 - 19,882 pets 2021- 19, 962 pets 2022- 21,136 pets 2023- 22,959 pets 2024- 25,092 pets Our many programs positively influence East Texas through community outreach and while APL's pet sterilization programs are self-sufficient, it does not generate adequate revenue
