What is a Fundraiser?

Personal Fundraisers provide a way for you to raise money on behalf of any nonprofit organization featured on East Texas Giving Day!

This feature allows you to create a custom web page with pictures, video, and a personal appeal from you.

Show support for the causes you care about during East Texas Giving Day!

How to create a Fundraiser:

Step 1: Choose an organization to support

Find your favorite nonprofit using the website's search function. From the nonprofit's page, click the "Create a Fundraiser" button.

Step 2: Submit & Create your Fundraiser Login

Don't have a Fundraiser profile? Click "Sign Up" and create your account. Once your account is set, your Fundraiser is automatically published.

Step 3: Personalize your Fundraiser

Use the editing tool to name your fundraiser, set a goal, and add an image. This gives you the chance to tell your friends why you support the organziation.

Step 4: Share your Fundraiser to help your cause!

Fundraisers are only successful when they're shared! Copy your Fundraiser's unique URL to share with family, friends, and other contacts in email, by text and posts to social media.

Fundraiser FAQs:

  • When can I create a Fundraiser?

    You can create a Fundraisers as soon as your nonprofit has registered for East Texas Giving Day! Find your favorite nonprofit using the website's search function.

  • When can people begin giving to my Fundraiser?

    People can give to your Fundraiser once early giving begins on April 7th.

  • Will I be notified when someone makes a donation to my Fundraiser?

    Yes! You will receive an email that tells you when a donation is made to your Fundraiser and the donor's information, unless they have chosen to give anonymously.

  • Can I create more than one Fundraiser?

    Yes, but we recommend you choose one or two nonprofits to focus your efforts on.

  • How will the donations I raise through my Fundraiser get to the nonprofit?

    East Texas Communities Foundation, the host of East Texas Giving Day, will disperse the funds raised from East Texas Giving Day to nonprofits after the event.
