Pastors Hope Network

About this Organization

Research shows that nearly 1 in 3 ministers will experience forced termination at least once in their ministry careers. While being fired refers to being let go for cause, termination refers to being let go without cause and involves an abusive process. Forced termination leaves a minister disillusioned, frustrated, and depressed. Pastors' Hope Network provides crisis care to pastors who have been forced to resign through termination, forced resignation, pressured retirement or staff downsizing. When church members lose their job, they turn to their pastor and their church family for support. But when ministers lose their job, they lose not only their source of income, they lose their church, their friends, their entire community--as do their spouse and children. Through a collaborative network of churches, businesses, and counseling services Pastors' Hope Network provides comprehensive support for terminated ministers and their families. Resources include counseling, mediation, financial guidance, resume preparation and job search assistance. Your support will help ensure that pastors, their spouses, and their children receive the help they need to heal from church wounds.
