St. Paul Children's Services was formed 35 years ago to serve low-income children and their families with some of life's basic needs -- food, shoes, clothing.
In the center of a dark neighborhood, infamous for gangs, drugs, sex trafficking and numerous other criminal activities, St Paul became a beacon of light and hope. The Church began reaching the neighborhood children via an after-school program, food pantry and clothing closet. As needs grew, the services grew, and as a result St. Paul Children's Foundation was established.
Now, 35 years later, St. Paul Children's Services continues our commitment to not only help the families of our neighborhood, but all-over East Texas. We currently have a food pantry providing fresh produce and diapers to over 600+ family members each week. We also provide brand new sneakers and school uniforms to hundreds of students who otherwise couldn't afford them. Our favorite new addition is the distribution of bilingual children's Bibles! We can't keep them on the shelf!
Through the years, we've seen great programs come and go but our roots at St. Paul remain the same...our commitment to the children and families who come to us for help.
