Sharon's Place is a nonprofit ministry serving adults with special needs in Van Zandt county and adjacent counties. Once an individual with special needs ages out of the public school system they often become isolated and lonely. There are limited activities for these individuals in our county and none that provide regular social opportunities. We want to change that. Together, with your support we can offer our adult friends with special needs a warm and welcoming place to go where they can discover new interests, enhance their life skills, develop their talents, receive job skills training, and be an active part of the community. Your donation will help Sharon's Place - where everyone has a purpose - support the adult special needs community, which is greatly under served in east Texas. Our Need: Sharon's Place has many needs from art supplies and recreational equipment to a facility for our Day program and a 12-15 seat passenger van for transporting our participants. Your East Texas Giving Day donation will enable us to provide the supplies, tools, and resources needed to carry out our mission.
